Ceremony
The Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois Honor Guard's primary focus is to honor those AFFI Members who have fallen in the Line of Duty at the request of that individuals family. However, the AFFI Honor Guard has also been requested to assist in many other types of ceremonies such as posting colors at events, march in parades, assist in non-line of duty funerals, etc. The AFFI Honor Guard is the largest, State Honor Guard in the International Association of Fire Fighters through the United States into Canada. The AFFI Honor Guard is one of the single largest groups that participate each year at the IAFF Fallen Firefighter Memorial in Colorado Springs, CO. The AFFI Honor Guard is proud to assist in these type of events when available.
